Why, yes, I AM paying attention…

I know that Vaclav Havel died. “Dissident” in communist Europe, where being “dissident” didn’t mean you were pepper-sprayed and let off when Mommy paid the fine, but rather you could end up dead somewhere with your name scratched out of history. He’s one of the ‘good guys’ in the fall of the Iron Curtain.

I know that Kim Jong Il died. He’s the arch-type of the ‘Commie Ba*tard”, living the high life while his people are reduced, by some pretty substantive reports, to cannibalism. His demise puts North Korea on shaky ground again, as the follow-on Kim successor is in his twenties. If one EVER wants to see what happens when the commies take over a country versus the free market, one only need look at the two Koreas.

I know that the republican ticket is in turmoil. The establishment republicans and the mainstream media are backing Mitt (see cartoon below) in the “Let’s run the guy who got BEAT by the guy who Got beat by Obama” campaign strategy. Establishment Republicans know that no matter who’s in the White House, they’ll still get to go to the cool parties and keep their RINO jobs. This, of course, only matters in the grand scheme of things because I personally like the idea of tweaking the noses of the establishment, both branches, dimmo AND repub. Make NO mistake about it, both are arms of the same beast. We’re not voting our way out of this mess.

I know that Obummer is taking yet another multi-million dollar vacation with First Wookie to Hawaii on the tax-payer tab. I bet nobody remembers how the press howled every time George Bush went to his ranch in Texas. But if Bush’d stayed in the White House all the time, the same press would’ve howled that if he knew what he was doing, he’d be able to take time off…

I know that Europe’s still in turmoil over failing economies in small, more backward states in the Euro-zone, and France is getting ready to have its financial status down-graded and France AND Germany are both pi**ed at Great Britain because she won’t join them in drilling holes in the bottom of the financial lifeboat to let more water OUT. I respectfully submit that the love between France And Great Britain is a fairly recent thing, that until Nappy got his ass handed to him at Waterloo, Britain and France had been fighting for a millennium, and that the last sixty-six years is the longest period that Europe has gone without a major war since the Roman Empire.

And everybody looks at China as a financial powerhouse, but China is built on money that is pouring into it from global markets that are on the verge of collapse. When economies in Europe and America start shutting down, there ain’t gonna be any dollars flowing into China, and that billion and a half people are gonna be really pi**ed when THEY can’s have the modern lifestyle EITHER.

So, yes, bunkie, I **HAVE** been paying attention…

  1. The thing is when Bush went to his ranch it was HIS ranch. And not too damn far away either. Nothing like a 6 hour over water flight.

  2. As Carney said, “Just like First Ladies in previous administrations…”. Isn’t that justifying bad behavior with bad behavior? They did it so we can, too.

This administration makes me want to puke.

  3. I notice that Kim didn’t die in his bed, but on a train outside the capitol. Might we hope that Little Kim takes a train ride too?

  4. Vaclav Havel has died and they are shipping his body home for burial. I guess you could say the Czech is in the mail.

  5. Thanks for the updates–guess I can go back to sleep now. I worry, though, about you with all the stress of paying attention. Unlike the OWS crowd, who have no forkin’ idea at all what’s going on, I think you might need some tranqs or at least a stiff drink or two. Keepin’ all of us informed is a heavy load to carry.

Oh, most importantly, though, how’s da catzeses. Update on Rudy?

  6. Thanks for the fine words, Dale.
Let me know next time you are in Houston. dinner and drinks

  7. Your observations are again spot on. Hope you are accumulating a stash of canned cat food. As your observations begin to mirror reality, and the unprepared are shopping in emptier stores, the feeding of HUNGRY cats has to be planned for in advance.

  8. Concur with everything you said… sad state of affairs all the way around. The death of KJI will have serious repercussions as the Chinese advisers and NK military will take over. The son is not hard line enough and way too young for either of the above to ‘trust’ him…

  9. Don — so Kim Jong was more ill than we thought?
Sorry, Most’ couldn’t resist piling on with the vile puns.
