Kerry’s tax cut roll-back

DGCI has this little article on the effect of Kerry’s publicly avowed intent to roll back the Bush tax cuts. This explains very well how tax cuts help the economy.

Part-time jobs at low wages: the liberals would have you think these things are dead ends, but that’s typicla liberal bullsh*t. Get rid of part-time jobs and you make a lot of people give up extra incomes. You make a lot of kids more dependent on the government for grants and government tuition programs. But wait… that’s what libs want: more people dependent on the government, peasants beginning to be placated by tidbits from their masters’ table… That’s why our ancestors left the Old Europe. And the Left wants us back there…

Update-
Obnoxious Droppings
has another take on it. He runs the numbers in this little piece. That’s the left’s ace in the hole: to finally get MORE people not paying taxes than those who pay taxes. Then they’ll have a lock on the ignorant and greedy among us. Remember, “He who robs Peter to pay Paul can depend on the support of Paul”

Aussie voters tell bed-wetters to bugger off!

This article give the short take on the election of Australia’s Prime Minister.

The election was widely seen abroad as the first referendum for the three leaders who launched the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, with President Bush facing a ballot next month and British Prime Minister Tony Blair probably facing voters next year.

The opposition was backed by Aussie versions of Hollywood glitterati and various permutations of our own liberal bedwetters, all crying for election of a Prime Minister who would pull Australia out of Iraq.

We’re facing the same battle here. Remember, folks, that the enemy will NOT be satisfied with just our withdrawal from Iraq. They won’t be satisfied if we just pull back within our own borders and go back to living our own lives. They wish nothing less than the death of Western lifestyle and the installation of an Islamist theocracy run along 7th century guidelines as interpreted by their mullahs. This is the logical conclusion to their current goals.

And Australian voters saw the truth through the liberal smokescreen… Now it’s our turn.

Election day- in Afghanistan

Some of the things we tend to take for granted have much magnified importance when done for the first time. today is election day in Afghanistan. Free election day. Freedom paid for at great cost in recent lives lost.

As if that isn’t enough at its face value to add gravity to the day, remember that these people are often presenting themselves as real targets whengoing to the polling places.

Forget, for a moment, what passes for difficult elections here in America, things like butterfly ballots and hanging chads. The ladies in this picture are TARGETS. Denial of voting privilege in their election may well come at the expense of their lives. Liberal America’s whinings about disenfranchisement is such a pale and lifeless argument in the face of people who will take risks like this to cast a vote.

Moving stuff

I spent a considerable amount of time last night moving posts from the old blogspot site to this blog. It isn’t hard to do it manually, cut and paste, but it’s time consuming.

There’s a method to do this autonmatically by changing pathnames in the Blogspot site, but after a several hours of trying, I’ve not had success with getting it to work, so I’ve been going through my archives over there and picking my favorite posts on various subjects and moving htem over here, trying to maintain the proper date-time stamp so they’ll show up in this archieve correctly.

Its been too much trouble to try and get all the links and such, so most of that gets lost.

If anyone has been successful in making a port-over from blogspot to a wordpress site, I’d appreciate help…
